Seminar for Technical experts.

Islamabad: Technical experts play very important role in assessing the technical competence of laboratories, to meet the requirements of ISO 1702, said Ms. Ismat Gul Khattak, Director Industrial Laboratories of Pakistan National Accreditation Council (PNAC) while speaking is a seminar on harmonization here on Thursday. He said that full compliance with ISO-17025 would enable laboratories to enhance and improve the quality of testing calibration results. He said that ISO-17025 is an international standard for laboratory management and specifies the general requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories. He stressed that environmental conditions, testing and calibration methods, quality of testing results and reporting of results are the key technical requirements in method validation and proficiency testing (PT).

"To harmonize the assessments activities throughout the country, training programmes for technical experts will be organized in major cities" Ms. Khattak said.
