The Conformity Assessment Body (CAB) working in accordance with the relevant ISO guides/standards and accredited by PNAC is authorized to issue certificates in the applicable disciplines using PNAC's logo.
This will ensure validity of the certificates and enhance credibility of the CAB in the market.

What is a conformity assessment body [CAB]
The Conformity Assessment Body is an entity operating in conformance with the national & international standards relevant to its field of activities. The CAB certifies the manufacturers or the service providers and enterprises, which can demonstrate that they have implemented a system based on a national or international standard such as the Quality Management System (QMS) i.e. ISO-9000 and Environmental Management Systems (EMS) i.e. ISO-14000. |
What is Laboratory Accreditation
Laboratory accreditation is the process, which provides independent evaluation of the integrity and competence of the laboratories according to the requirements of the applicable standards. |
Importance of Laboratory Accreditation
Client makes decision on the basis of the results supplied by the laboratory. Some times these decisions have far reaching effects on the business, environment, health and safety issue. For example, we all are at risk if food testing or water testing laboratories use non calibrated equipment and produce invalid analytical measurements. Our children are at risk if a toy-testing laboratory produces invalid results. Similarly nations have regulations and requirements for security, environment and health reasons. Exporters and importers both would be more confident of the product tested by an accredited lab. The Laboratory Accreditation readily identifies the resources of a laboratory that can be used with confidence and assure that the findings of the laboratory can be relied upon. ^ Back to Top |
